Hit refresh on your skin with a Dermaplaning Facial—an advanced treatment that gently sweeps away dull surface cells and peach fuzz in one calming, glow-revealing session.
Think of it as an instant glow-up: silky, radiant skin unveiled in minutes, makeup that glides on effortlessly, and a glow that feels as good as it looks. Gentle yet transformative, dermaplaning is your go-to when you want to look polished, luminous, and ready for anything.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a gentle cosmetic treatment performed by our expert aestheticians. Using a tiny, sterile blade (don’t worry, it’s gentler than it sounds), they glide carefully across the surface of your face at a shallow angle to remove the very top layer of dead skin cells along with fine facial hair (“peach fuzz”). Most people describe the sensation as light scraping—painless, with only a faint warmth at most.
The result is skin that feels instantly smoother, looks brighter, and reflects light more evenly. With no little hairs to catch makeup or trap debris, foundation applies seamlessly and skincare products absorb more effectively.

Your skin deserves more than a quick scrub

Who Is A Dermaplaning Facial For?
From dullness to event prep, here’s who benefits—and when to wait.
- Want instant brightness and a polished finish for tired skin.
- Love that smooth, touchable texture and "fresh skin" feel.
- Want makeup to go on more evenly (no clinging to peach fuzz/vellus hair).
- Need a rapid refresh before an event for a photo-perfect look.
- Want a pregnancy-safe facial option (tell us if you’re pregnant or nursing—we’ll confirm what’s best for your skin).
- Have active acne, active cold sores, or open breakouts.
- Are sunburned or having a rosacea/eczema flare-up.
- Have had recent peels or laser, or are currently/recently on isotretinoin (Accutane).
- Are on blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder (please consult your clinician first).

aftercare
After your Dermaplaning Facial, it’s normal to notice mild pinkness or a slight feeling of tightness. Tiny micro-nicks are rare and heal quickly. For the next 48–72 hours, think gentle: wear daily SPF 30+, skip retinoids and strong acids (AHA/BHA), avoid hot yoga or saunas the same day, and keep your skin well hydrated. Hands off—try not to touch your face while it’s freshly exfoliated. Makeup is best saved for the next day. Lightweight mineral formulas are safe if you need coverage sooner.
Think of dermaplaning like a haircut: you're simply trimming the "dead" keratin cells that make up your surface-level peach fuzz to reveal the glow underneath. Because the treatment doesn't touch the hair roots, it cannot change your hair’s biological blueprint or make it grow back thicker. Just like a haircut, to maintain your velvety-smooth, photo-ready glow year-round, we recommend a refresh every 4–6 weeks.

Your Questions,
Our Answers!
-
Will hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?
No. Dermaplaning removes vellus hair (peach fuzz) at the surface of the skin and does not affect the hair follicle, hormones, or biological growth cycle. Hair cannot grow back thicker, darker, or faster as a result of dermaplaning.
The Concierge Note: This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and it’s completely understandable. The hair may feel slightly blunt for a day or two as it grows back, simply because it was cut straight across—but nothing about the follicle has changed. It’s the same soft hair, just temporarily more noticeable to the touch, not the eye.
-
Is dermaplaning safe for sensitive skin?
Dermaplaning can be appropriate for mildly sensitive skin when performed with the correct pressure and technique. However, it may be contraindicated for actively inflamed conditions such as cystic acne, active rosacea flares, or compromised skin barriers.
The Concierge Note: Sensitive doesn’t automatically mean “no,” but timing matters. If your skin is calm, dermaplaning can be very well tolerated and even soothing. If it’s irritated or reactive, we’ll either adjust the technique or recommend a different exfoliation method—because exfoliation should support your skin, not challenge it.
-
What are the main benefits of a dermaplaning facial?
Dermaplaning physically exfoliates the outermost layer of dead skin cells while removing vellus hair. This results in smoother texture, brighter appearance, improved product absorption, and more even makeup application.
The Concierge Note: Think of dermaplaning as clearing the surface so your skincare and makeup can actually do their job. Once the buildup and peach fuzz are gone, skin feels smoother, foundation sits better, and everything applied afterward looks more polished—without adding irritation or downtime.
-
How often should I get a dermaplaning facial?
Most clients benefit from dermaplaning every 4–6 weeks, which aligns with the skin’s natural cell turnover cycle. Frequency may vary depending on skin sensitivity, hair growth rate, and overall skincare goals.
The Concierge Note: Dermaplaning works best when it’s part of a routine, not a once-in-a-while fix. Done consistently, it helps maintain smooth texture and keeps buildup from accumulating—without over-exfoliating the skin.
-
Can dermaplaning be combined with other facials?
Yes. Dermaplaning is often combined with hydrating, brightening, or anti-aging facials to enhance serum penetration and overall results.
The Concierge Note: This is one of our favorite add-ons because it makes everything that follows work better. By smoothing the surface first, treatments feel more effective and the results tend to last longer—especially if glow is your goal.
-
Is there any downtime after dermaplaning?
Downtime is minimal to none. Some clients experience mild pinkness immediately after treatment, which typically resolves within a few hours.
The Concierge Note: This is very much a “go back to your day” facial. Most clients leave looking smoother and brighter, not red or irritated—and many schedule it right before events for that reason.
