Surprisingly, electrolysis is not regulated in New York State. But when you come to Nios, you can rest assured that you are in good hands: we commit to the most strict and up-to-date infection control recommendations of the American Electrology Association (AEA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
And we always use hospital-grade sanitation procedures, including pre-sterilized, disposable probes and ultrasound and dry heat sterilization.
It is our electrologists, however, who are the main ingredient of our success. Nios electrologists have all either passed or are working toward their Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) certificate. The CPE credential signifies that an electrologist's knowledge has been tested and measured against a national standard of excellence. The CPE is not required by New York State and there are only a handful of these practitioners in NY. But our commitment to permanent hair removal excellence drove us to voluntarily train for this program.
And we don't stop there! Our electrologists undergo continuous training and evaluation by Dr. Gordon above and beyond both NYS requirements and the C.P.E. Indeed, we may just have the most-trained electrologists in the world. Schedule a free consultation to meet with a member of the team!
